Element5 (Share-It!) and Digital River met ISDEF in Moscow
Moscow, June, 21, 2004 - Restaurant «Panama» has become a place of a meeting for
software developers, publishers and distributors. The meeting was organized by
western software registrations Element5 (Share-It!) and Digital River with support
of ISDEF association.
There was no officially declared occasion for meeting, but the reason was clear
to everybody - recent acquisition of European registration Element5 by Digital
River Company (USA). This event made anxious many participants of the Russian
IT-market. Many Russian developers sell the products in Europe in United States
through these companies, so they were afraid of changes in company’s structure
because they frequently provoke the changes in business policy as well.
However the representatives of both companies’ management - Brant Pallazza
(Digital River) and Manuel Heilmann, Christian Blume, etc. (Element5) - assured
Russian developers, that they will benefit from the occurred changes. The acquisition
allows improving the quality and the services' level of the companies.
The next day the representatives of Digital River and Element5 went to Kiev
and, then, to Novosibirsk, where they are going to meet with other Russian developers.
